Some New Projects Nearing Completion

 Due out later in April, these two works are sure to please. Authors Cullan Hudson and Marilyn A. Hudson, who teamed up for the suspense thriller The Mound, collaborate again with a short guide to stories of UFO's/UAP's over Route 66 in Oklahoma.  The popularity of the first volume of Sooner Saucers demanded a second one and this one is full of stories - many never before shared tales - of sightings in Oklahoma. In addition, a short annotated biographical section introduces the people who wrote about, researched or made special history in Oklahoma related to the topic. Also, events are conveyed so their place in history - and relationship to other events - are not lost. UFO/UAP studies reveal there is a lot of "chaos theory": what happens in one place impacted events somewhere else or in simple terms if it was seen in one place it was seen somewhere else thus validating the larger history of the events. Despite this, most records of the Air Force and stories shared over the years liked to portray the sightings as very locative and isolated from one another. Marilyn A. Hudson will do a zoom presentation for Oklahoma MUFON in July on her research and the new works.

Saturday was a fun day with some great people and at an incredible event in Oklahoma City. The air buzzed with people having a good time.  Our booth was visited by great people, other local artists and authors, and had many opportunities to meet new people.  I met several new authors on a panel on "The Writer's Mind' sponsored by the OKC Edge.  These included: Scott Cosby, Tommy B. Smith, Adrean Messmer, Don Rosencrans. Hosted by Will Harrison.   Author friends Steven Wedel and Dennis McDonald were also on hand.

Oklahoma authors Hudson and Lemmons teamed up to reissue a popular title, first appearing in 2005.  The story is one popular with people of all ages since so many children participated in the original event and can't wait to share memories with children and grandchildren. In addition, elephants are one of the most popular animals in any animal sanctuary or zoological program. There is an almost instant kinship with the marvelous animals that keeps people coming back.

Lemmons added the whimsical illustrations with delight because she was one of those plucky "Judy's Kids" who raised money for Judy the elephant!  The authors hope to build a program around the events and visit libraries and schools in the state in 2015.
